The Second Arrow rings
The Second Arrow is inspired by the Buddhist teaching known as the Two Arrows (Sallatha Sutta), which distinguishes between unavoidable pain and the additional suffering we create through reaction. The first arrow represents the events of life that strike without consent—loss, illness, rejection. The second arrow represents the stories we tell ourselves afterward: blame, rumination, self-attack.
These rings are crafted in sterling silver and intentionally paired in contrast. One is smooth and direct; the other is feathered, suggesting movement, complexity, and an alternative path. Worn together, they mark a moment of choice: pain may arrive uninvited, but suffering is not compulsory.
