The Inspiration Behind the Laughter:
This line found its inspiration in a dear friend, Genevieve, whose imagination danced to a different tune. She had a simple request—pieces that would make her smile, like a slug ring or a squirting squid ring. These requests, seemingly unconventional, ignited a spark of curiosity and amusement within me.
Barrels of Monkeys and Tails of Truth:
As I set out to create these whimsical pieces, the monkey designs became a nod to a beloved childhood game—Barrel of Monkeys. It's funny how nostalgia often carries with it a touch of irony. In the original game, the monkeys lacked tails, technically making them apes. A little laugh-worthy fact, wouldn't you say? My monkeys, however, have always had tails, a playful twist on the tale.
And speaking of tails, in the newer version of the game, the monkeys finally have them. So, in a world where even plastic monkeys can evolve, it's only fitting that our monkey pieces pay homage to this humorous journey of adaptation.
Big Girl Pants and Meaningful Laughter:
One of the newest additions to the collection is our "Big Girl Pants" necklace. It's a piece crammed full of meaning, a symbol of empowerment, resilience, and the strength to face life head-on.
